What are your hours of operation?

Scarlett's Retreat is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Wednesday from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. We are closed on Sunday but will open for special requests and classes.

Scarlett's Retreat is located on Jonesboro Road, right before the square in McDonough.

How far in advance should I book my appointment?

We will ask you for a credit card or gift certificate number to hold your appointment. We will not charge your credit card or redeem your gift certificate* After you have your service you may pay for it however you like.

Our weekends always fill up fast. If you have more than one service that you wish to schedule on a weekend we recommend that you call us at least 2-3 weeks in advance. This way, we can ensure that your appointments are one after the other.

Scheduling services during the week are usually a little more open. Remember, we are open until 8:00!

We always welcome call-ins for same day service....just in case we get a cancellation.

*We will only charge your credit card or redeem your gift certificate if you do not show for your appointment.

What should I bring with me?

If you have a gift certificate please bring it with you. Dress comfortably!! Depending upon your service, we provide you with a robe and footwear. If you wish to freshen up after your service, we have showers, hair dryers and make-up available.

What should I wear?

It is important that our guests are comfortable so that they can enjoy their spa visit. Guests are encouraged to dress down to their level of comfort for our body and skin care services. We provide robes and slippers as part of our experience. Our certified therapists are trained in draping techniques that ensure your privacy and comfort.

How much notice do you require if I need to re-schedule or cancel my appointment?

We require a 24-hour notice if you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment. The reason for this is we have a large client "wait list." The 24-hour notice allows us to contact them and let them know of an available appointment.

What happens if I am late for my appointment?

If you arrive late, your appointment may be shortened to allow the therapist to be prompt for his or her next scheduled appointment. If you are a "No Show" for your appointment, we will charge your credit card or gift certificate the amount of your scheduled service.

How far in advance should I arrive before my appointment?

We recommend that you arrive at least 20 - 30 minutes early. This allows us to help you relax, get some information if you are a new client, and to get you changed and into your room on time. It also gives you some time to look around Scarlett's and to ask any questions you may have about your service.

Is Scarlett's Retreat for women only?

No, not at all! Men like to be pampered too. We have a large male clientele at Scarlett's.

Can I exchange my gift certificate for another service?

Absolutely! Your gift certificate is worth a specific amount so you may use it towards the service of your choice.

I have artificial nails. Can I still get a manicure?

Yes. A manicure improves on all parts of the hand, not just the nails. We use an OPI Nail Polish Remover which does not harm artificial nails.

How long should my hair be for waxing?

For best results, hair should be 1/8 to 1/4 inches long, depending upon the thickness of the hair.

Are there certain Spa services I should not receive due to certain health conditions?

Yes. If you are pregnant you will not want a Reflexology appointment or to come in contact with certain Aromatherapy Essential Oils.

Your Esthetician would need to know what topical medication you may be taking, for instance, Retin-A. If you are not sure, please give us a call.

I would like to leave a gratuity for my technician. How should I handle this?

For your convenience we have tip envelopes in the Relaxation Room and at the Front Desk. You may give your tip to your technician or give it to the Front Desk. They will ensure your technician receives it. Many people also ask how much should they tip. Tips are usually 10-15% of the overall service total.
